Meet the Team

  • George Constantinou

    CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

    George has over 15 years’ experience in the Construction and Property industry, and commenced his role at Monier as CEO in 2019. He is also the Director of a number of construction and hospitality businesses throughout Papua New Guinea, Australia and New Zealand. George graduated with a Bachelor of Regional and Town Planning, as well as a Masters of Project Management (Property Studies), and is also a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

  • Matthew McLachlan

    GENERAL MANAGER

    Throughout his 8 years with Monier, Matthew has managed all divisions within the company. He has over 20 years experience in the Construction Material industry, and is an advocate for quality management, and best practice processes. Matthew’s work in implementing ISO accredited standards across Monier’s operations ensures PNG has access to quality construction materials which are of an international standard.

    Matthew also has a strong focus on staff development and internal training, encouraging internal promotions and personal growth amongst employees, with the aim of fostering a strong workplace culture and commitment to quality.

  • Geno Uve

    SALES MANAGER

    Also referred to as Mr Monier, Geno has been with the group since 1990. Of that time, 14 years of his career was spent with Monier Steamships, whilst the last 15 years he has worked for Monier Limited. Geno’s expertise revolves around sales, and over the last 15 years he has built up an extensive knowledge of materials, and the Building industry.

  • Joseph Nilemoa

    HEALTH, SAFETY, QUALITY AND ENVIRONMENT MANAGER (HSQE)

    Joseph has over 20 years of experience in the HSEQ sector specializing in Integrated HSEQ Management Systems, and Behavioural Safety Systems predominantly in Mining, Oil & Gas, and Heavy Construction industries in Papua New Guinea and overseas. Joseph is an ISO-accredited HSEQ Auditor to ISO 9001 (Quality), 14001 (Environment), and 45001 (Safety) and has security and maintenance management experience. Joseph used his vast skills and knowledge to consult various businesses, including government organisations in PNG, before joining Monier in 2023.

  • Alvina Toyu

    FINANCIAL MANAGER

    Alvina Toyu is a highly competent Financial Manager, with experience across both provincial and national government departments. Alvina joined Monier in February 2009 as a Graduate Accountant, with duties including payroll, AR invoicing and ultimately as AP manager. In 2018 Alvina began working as a Financial Accountant, then Finance Manager, and is now Monier’s Financial Manager. Alvina holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies Accountancy and is a member of Certified Practicing Accountants of Papua New Guinea.

  • Gaspar Ndrapuluvik

    READYMIX CONCRETE MANAGER

    Gasper has vast experience in the day-to-day planning and operations of Monier’s concrete division, as he has been employed by Monier since 1997. Specifically, Gasper oversees the 3 Readymix concrete plants, as well as Monier’s concrete manufacturing and production divisions. He has a degree in civil engineering from Papua New Guinea University of Technology.

  • Peter Auru

    CONCRETE PRECAST MANAGER

    Peter has been with Monier since 2012. He has 10 years of experience in his current position, with extensive knowledge in quality control, structural design and manufacturing of engineered precast concrete elements.

  • Priscilla Kanu

    MASONRY AND PAVERS MANAGER

    Priscilla has over 15 years experience working in the construction industry as a Cost Engineer and Quantity Surveyor. She commenced her role at Monier in 2016, working in the areas of cost estimation, including cost analysis and QA works, as well as the pricing of various projects in both local and international markets.

  • Gabriel Arabu

    REINFORCED CONCRETE PIPE MANAGER

    MASONRY AND PAVERS MANAGER

    Gabriel has been with the Constantinou Group since 1998 and has managed a number of divisions including: concrete plants, spun pipe plant and most recently vertically cast reinforced concrete pipe plant. Gabriel is one of our long serving loyal managers who brings a wealth of knowledge to the business.

  • Copeland Gaboe

    PROPERTY & SECURITY MANAGER

    Copeland has been with Monier since 2016. After serving more than 20 years in the Police Force, Copeland brings a wealth of security knowledge and experience to Monier, prioritising staff safety and coordinating security measure onsite.

  • Rebecca Luluaki

    HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER

    Rebecca is equipped with more than 15 years of experience in global organisations in all aspects of Human Resources. She started at Monier in 2018, and has proven her ability to improve effectiveness and performance of employees through the implementation of HR strategies and initiatives.

  • Sanga Palu

    TECHNICAL SERVICE LABORATORY MANAGER

    Sanga has an extensive repertoire of knowledge and 43 years of experience in the Construction Material and Civil Construction industries, managing quality control and assurance systems in construction material laboratories. He has been employed by Monier for over 6 years, and is a certified PNGLAS signatory and PNGLAS Technical Assessor.

  • Jason Suri

    IT MANAGER

    Jason is a member of the PNG Computer Society and has over 8 years of experience in the Information Technology sector. Jason has been with Monier since 2016, and has developed and improved our IT division to International Standards.

  • Stanley Correa

    MAINTENANCE MANAGER

    Stanley has been with Monier since 2009. He is a Licensed Electrician issued by PPL, Member of IEPNG. Stan has 13 years of experience, and a wealth of knowledge in performing maintenance and repair.

  • Daniel Jeremiah

    FLEET SUPERVISOR

    Daniel has been with Monier since 2015, and has 7 years experience in transport and logistics sectors. He has worked in some of the biggest mines in PNG and brings an added level of professionalism to the business.

  • Johann van der Merwe

    NEBIRI QUARRY MANAGER

    Johann is an experienced quarry manager with over 17 years of experience ranging from large to small quarries. His experience ranges from hard rock to clay and sand mining operations. Johann’s quarry experiences began in New Zealand where he was subsequently recruited to join a multinational company in Australia in 2012. Johann holds a Bachelor's Degree in Management as well as Diplomas in Extractive industries obtained in both New Zealand and Australia. Johann is passionate about safety in the workplace, staff empowerment and personnel development.

  • Henry Dela Peña​

    QUARRY MANAGER

    Henry has been with Monier since 2010. Prior to his time in PNG, he has had roles in several mining and quarrying companies throughout the world. He has a wealth of experience and has been in the Mining and Quarry industry for over 30 years. Henry holds a PNG permit to handle, use and store explosives. He trains national staff on all the quarry operations including drill and blast design, explosive storage, road maintenance, quarry development and production.
